Soon To Be Obese.. Alice In Wonderland..

At the moment I'm watching a version of Alice in Wonderland..

Filmed with all real people.. Like Whoopi Goldberg.. [As the cheshire cat..]

And anyways, I noticed that Alice is so dumb it's unrealistic..

And although I love the story/book/Disney film..

I can't help but think we're sending the wrong message to our children..

[Not like I have any, but still..]

Firstly, she is ALWAYS eating.. Non-stop!

She just picks things up and eats them..

Not knowing where they came from or what's in them..

For all she know they could be poisonous!

Second, she's ALWAYS eating..

She's the reason for childhood obesity..

Little children see her eating and nothing about her changing..

And they believe they can do it themselves..

Third, she listens to everyone and does whatever they say..

A white rabbit tells her to go to his house.. AND SHE DOES..

This is what our children are learning.. MADNESS!!

Teaching our children to talk things from strangers and pick things up in the street..

Tut tut.. Shame on you Alice..

Wanna Read A Film..?

Can I ask all of you people out there a question..?

Do films ruin the books..?

And is the current state of literature being ruined by the film industry..?

I ask this because I'm wondering whether books are becoming less or more popular due to films being made based upon them..

For example, as you may know I have been getting into Harry Potter, not the books the films and the [unofficial] musical..

Now because I already know how it ends and I have seen all six of the films, I don't see the need to read the books..

Especially as I feel that I'll always have the book in my head..

I'd like to point out that this is the same as Twilight.. Watched the film and now I don't really wanna read the books anymore..

I think I'll nearly always say that it is better to read the book before watching the film.. Because you can create the characters in your head.. I believe it's more fulfilling..

So I ask you, which do you prefer, films or books, and why..?
